UT Martin Spam Report
UT Martin deployed a new spam fighting tool in June 2004. Since its deployment, it has blocked over 32.7 million spam messages from the inboxes of faculty, staff, and most importantly students. Realtime statistics are now included throughout the UT Martin IT Services Security Center website in the box on the left side of each page.
Barracuda Spam Firewall Tutorial
The Office of Information Technology has produced a tutoral video to assist users with the features of our new antispam device. These videos are designed for high bandwidth LAN connections. These could be very slow away from campus. To view these videos, you should use the latest version of Windows Media or QuickTime. Click on the logo of the version you wish to view.
If you have problems viewing the video, make sure that you have the proper media playing software installed. You may call the Helpdesk at 7900 for assistance.
Barracuda Plug-in for Outook
The Barracuda Plug-in allows a user to classify messages as 'Spam' or 'Not Spam' from within Outlook. The plugin is only available for Windows PC users with Outlook 97 or greater as a primary email client. Make sure that Outlook is closed before installation is attempted.
